Expedited Hearing

The PSLREB offers expedited hearings for more expeditious adjudication of less complex cases. Expedited hearings form part of the PSLREB's commitment to more efficient and simpler ways of resolving complaints, such as telephone mediation and settlement conferences.

An expedited hearing lasts no more than one day and the decision is issued within 30 days of the hearing.

The PSLREB will send a Notice of Expedited Hearing if it believes the case may be suitable for an expedited hearing. The complainant or respondent may also request an expedited hearing. At the prehearing conference, the PSLREB member will explain further the process and after hearing the parties will determine if the complaint will proceed by way of an expedited hearing and terms that apply.

You are invited to explore this option by reviewing the Terms of the Expedited Hearing.
