Augustus Richardson
Part-time Board Member
Augustus Richardson is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree (with honours) and a law degree. He also received a Master of Arts degree in Social History from University of Essex in England. He has been a member of the Ontario Bar since February 1984 and of the Nova Scotia Bar since 1990. He has also been a chartered arbitrator since 2010.
Mr. Richardson joined private practice at the beginning of his career, first in Toronto and then in Nova Scotia, where he practiced until 2006. He has been an adjudicator for the Nova Scotia Small Claims Court since 2001 and the vice-chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board from 2006 until 2013. He was a part-time member of the Public Service Labour Relations Board from 2010 until 2014, and of the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board from 2018 to 2021.
Mr. Richardson was appointed as a part-time member of the Board on March 4, 2022, for a three-year term.
