Videoconferences

In the context of the Government of Canada’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board has approved holding hearings and mediations by videoconference, for which it has adopted Videoconferencing Guidelines. It has also set out other documents, provided only for reference, to support the guidelines.

Each party is obligated to ensure that its participants, including witnesses, are given advance notice that they will need to access the videoconferencing platform and an Internet connection with sufficient capacity to connect to the hearing. All parties appearing before the Board must familiarize themselves with the videoconferencing platform’s technical requirement before proceedings begin and prepare themselves the same way they would for any Board proceeding.

Please note that the reference documents available here are evergreen, which means that they may be changed or updated as required.
